• NAME Julianne Luna Wilkes
• BIRTHDATE 13 August, 1961
• CITIZENSHIP English; her father's side is Scottish
• CURRENT RESIDENCE Julianne has been born and raised in St James, Westminster. The Wilkes family lives in a large Unplottable and Muggle-proofed townhome. ( 1 . 2 . 3 . 4 )
• BLOOD STATUS Pure

P H Y S I C A L
• HEIGHT/WEIGHT 5'5½"/115 lbs (and yes, she's very adamant about letting it known that she's not 5'5" but 5'5½")
• HAIR/EYES Blonde/Hazel
• MANNER OF SPEECH Julianne's voice is slightly higher in pitch than her sisters. Quite articulate, her smooth accent can remain very much the same while speaking about the beautiful weather and when she's talking about how extremely filthy muggles can be. Juls doesn't use the term 'mudblood' as she finds the term rather barbaric. Along the same lines, she doesn't curse (unless extremely angry, a very rare sight) and always speaks calmly and collected. When very excited or very emotionally hurt, she often can't help but have her emotions show.
• MANNER OF DRESS From a young age, Julianne was taught to appreciate summer dresses and evening gowns. She was often the subject in the game of 'dress up' by her mother as she was usually the only one patient enough to put up with it. She opts for lighter colours in her wardrobe along with her favorite colour, midnight blue. Juli very much prefers weightless fabrics that tend to be rather flowy which is displayed from her choice of robes and dresses. She usually doesn't wear too much jewelry unless it's for a special occasion.
• PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Even as a child, Julianne's infamous trait was her long blonde hair. Walking with grace and poise, Juls exudes confidence without arrogance. Slim but not lanky, she stands proud at a five feet and five (and a half!) inches. While at times, her cold exterior may make her seem unapproachable, the sweet smile of hers can be slightly confusing to those that are unaware of the Wilkes charm. Something about her light hazel-green eyes tells others that she isn't one to be fooled around with or, if anything, overlooked.
• FIRST IMPRESSION The first impression that Julianne gives off depends very much on who you are. Say one happens to be a fellow colleague of Julianne when attending Hogwarts. Depending on the house, she typically will give off the 'better than you' aura to others, rarely giving anyone the time of day. She finds it a norm with others find themselves inferior to her though she can present herself to be quite charming if she needs something. When dealing with adults, Julianne flicks the 'charismatic' switch on. Sweet, kind, and polite, she'll laugh when appropriate and make casual conversations to display to the adult how a perfect daughter ought to be.

• GENERAL PERSONALITY First impressions are Julianne's forte. However, those looking at her from afar may see her as a threat and put at unease, or approachable and someone to please. Being raised to be the perfect socialite meant a rather strict childhood, deprived of what one may call a 'normal' life. Her mary jane's were always perfectly clean, no evidence of dirt on her clothes, and always impressing others with her witty words. If anything, her charm plays a rather big role to her personality, giving off the vibe that others are inferior to her while not walking around with a 'better than you' attitude. It's quite a fine line she treads but Julianne manages to pull it off well.

A unique aspect is her innate belief in fairness and justice. In Quidditch competitions, she often roots for the underdogs (not that she cares enough to watch any game other than the World Cup) and these feelings may sometimes spill over to certain circumstances that happen around her. This has conflicted often with what she had always been taught; to be one step ahead of others and be the best no matter the cost, to not show weakness, only superiority. Despite barely getting by answering any questions pertaining to purist ideals, Juli can't help but feel a little indecisive when she's put in a position that she has to directly answer about the war and blood. It is then that she needs to suppress her logic and heart, replying with the 'political correct' answers in her monotonic cocky voice that she so often hears in her father.

At Hogwarts, Julianne was often the secret keeper. She was easy to talk to and, with certain subjects, gave fairly good advice. Of course she guilty several times for manipulating situations in her favor, but generally, she's kept many of her peers secrets, giving others the opportunity to put their trust in her. Regardless, Juls isn't necessarily the type to abuse others who finally manage to trust her, as long as they regard her as one of the best, she won't mind the occasional therapy sessions that she needs to give. For her select true friends, however, Julianne is utmost and unconditionally loyal.

Julianne is ruled mostly by her head, working through all possibilities and rationalizing things out before reaching an outcome. However, when she actually follows her heart, she tends to get very passionate about certain subjects, becoming stubborn and pursuing the matter to her fullest extent.

• STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES Julianne was bred to be the perfect pedigree socialite. Her strength lies in her ability to be a lady. She's calm, collected, and can charm one in both English and French. Her social skills are exceptional and her 'leadership' abilities and experiences can be pulled from her quiet, yet respected, reign during her years at Hogwarts. Her silent competitive streak has her making sure that she's always at the top, the most eligible socialite.

Exquisite etiquette aside, Juls excelled at school, finding a passion for potions, and in turn herbology. She made other subjects intriguing to herself, often finding her thirst of knowledge as something that was quite beneficial; one more thing to be better at over others.

However, her weaknesses lie with her foundation of ideals built on sand instead of a rock. Julianne finds it progressively harder and harder to smile and bear the events of the political world. Especially concerning her sister's death, Juls is quite tempted to be the first to speak out against this horrid war that's killing her loved ones. Of course she'd never have the courage to do such a thing, but she can't help but wonder..

Despite all this, she tends to have some conforming tendencies, as there's only one mold of a pureblood socialite. Speaking out isn't welcomed and an unattractive trait in a trophy wife. Julianne understands that she cannot hold her title without continually beating out the competition. She's still set to honour her family, perhaps even more so than she desired to before, following Georgie's murder.

• MENTAL HEALTH While she loves to think of herself, and let others think, that she's perfectly sane, her family knows how she can get when she falls into depression. Though she's only had these episodes twice (once when her cat died and the second following Georgina's death), they tend to be prolonged and intense. Although she never falls to the point of suicide, Julianne will, after crying until she physically can't, enter an apathetic state full of hopelessness and fatigue. But other than this rather rare condition, Julianne is quite a sane person!

         Hester Gamp-Wilkes, mother
         Georgina Wilkes, eldest sister
         Jacqueline Wilkes, twin
         Auriga Wilkes, unmarried aunt
         Florentia Gamp, unmarried aunt
• RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMILY The family's relationship can be described as slightly different than most pureblood families, or, at least it is to Julianne. Because she's probably the most open one in the family, she enjoys the thought of a family that can care for each other which she doesn't see in most families. As for her parents, she is easily her mother's favorite. While she was able to play the role of the daddy's girl, she knew that she could never even come close in comparison to the relationship he held with his eldest daughter. Regardless, Julianne was quite content with that. She was fine with being spoiled by her father and being molded by her mother. If Georgina took the role as the heir, she would take role as the socialite and promote their family in her own way.

With Georgie, she found herself on a complete different scale than that of her sister. The two were hardly comparable in personality, looks, beliefs.. in many things. Although Julianne didn't approve of her older sister's deep involvement with the Death Eaters, she also understood that she didn't have much of a say in that aspect. She cares for her sister and lets it known that she does; however, she isn't nearly as close as she is with her twin. Things with Jacqueline are on a different level altogether. Nothing needs to be said in order for Juls to understand how Jacq feels or means to say. Sure they don't always see things eye to eye and they may not necessarily like the same things, but at the end of the day, there's no one closer to her than Jacqueline.

• HOW IS YOUR CHARACTER INVOLVED IN THE WAR? She isn't, at least that's what she tells herself. Regardless, her dearest friends and relatives are, or have been, Death Eaters. She sincerely wishes that they weren't involved but silently supports them nevertheless. Juls has come to the realization that she's really left with no other choice. Even if she doesn't support them, it won't stop them from continuing down their path, so Juls does the best she can to be there for the ones she loves.
• WILL YOUR CHARACTER DIE DURING THE NEXT YEAR? No.

• FAMILY/CHILDHOOD When the twins were born a few weeks premature, Hester instinctively knew that this would be her last shot at having an heir. Two kids, twice the chance.. At least that's what she had thought. The Wilkes already had their first child who happened to be a girl. Not too much of a problem, they had supposed, despite slight complications with Georgina's birth. They could always try again. However, as Hester held her two baby girls in her arms, she couldn't help but weep.

The Wilkes family was generically categorized with the nouveau riche, a family known for their strong work ethics and wise business decisions. While mingling with the upper Pureblood class, some smugly held their nose high, looking down at the family who just barely made it into the higher circle. However, no one ever started at the top (well, except for perhaps the Malfoys and the Blacks) and the Wilkes did what they could to uphold their place on the higher society, carefully playing their parts.

Despite being a twin, Julianne and Jacqueline were born on different dates. Julianne, born first and on the 13th of August, and Jacqueline, born second on the 14th. Julianne has been known to laugh and say that she was too stubborn to share her birthday with her twin, which could've actually been amusing if only it wasn't ridiculously true. Like their birthdays, the twins were different in many ways.

From the beginning, defining characteristics shined through. Julianne was patient and open, willing to put up and even seemingly enjoy the attention from her suffocating and doting mother. From a young age, she was able to link Georgina as her father's daughter, which left the twins to be their mother's. Over the years, Georgie became more and more entangled with the purist ideologies, one that wasn't as heavily imposed on the twins. Julianne watched as her older sister was able to win their father's heart as the Wilkes heir, as she was more than capable.

From a young age, it was Julianne's patience that got her to be the young lady that she is today. Patient enough to deal with her mother as she so often played dress up and tried on new hair-dos for the only daughter that could sit around long enough to be dolled up. Patient enough to take all the etiquette classes, ballet classes, violin and piano classes, French classes, ballroom classes, and advanced tutorings. Patient enough to sit through hundreds of tea parties while bearing a smile and kindly remembering everyones names once she had met them. It was her patience that nurtured Julianne Wilkes to become the wondrous socialite that she is today.

• SCHOOL/WORK
When a rather absurd looking owl (with horrid coloured feathers) arrived with two envelopes in its claws, the family had a lavish dinner (one more lavish than normal). One was addressed to Julianne, the other to Jacqueline. The night before the day they were to leave to the school that they had been looking so forward to, the twins spent the night up, speaking about hypothetical what-ifs and what do you thinks. What if you don't get into the house of Slytherin? What do you think Hogwarts will be like? Julianne packed and unpacked her several trunks several times, always finding something she was missing, something she didn't need. Her checklist was looked at so many times the creases were beginning to tear.

Her father was sure to give her younger daughters the very talk he spoke about with Georgina: don't get caught, don't disgrace the Wilkes, and make friends with the right people. Julianne didn't worry about getting caught as she never stepped out of line. She wouldn't disgrace the family name, if anything, she had improved it, even as a child. She had already gotten to know the 'right people' through lavish events and tea parties that she followed along with her mother or family.

Jacqueline was up first which was both a burden and a relief. The moment she was sorted into Slytherin, her heart cheered and she applauded loudly. She couldn't help but continue to smile as she sat beneath the Sorting Hat who took slightly longer to come to a decision. He briefly mentioned Ravenclaw until Julianne began to think of ways to pull apart the hat from its threads and burn it if it did anything other than put her in Slytherin. The Sorting Hat let out a slight chuckle before appointing Julianne into the last spot of the Slytherin girls.

Immediately, Julianne commanded both attention and respect from her peers. While she wasn't necessarily bossy, it was something altogether when some looked up to her to approve of their attires and that her opinions on who dated whom mattered. However, whenever things came to her thoughts on the war and blood purity, Julianne responded with typical things that she heard her father or sister say, simply to satisfy the crowd. Rather, Juls felt uncomfortable with the idea of the war, the idea of dying muggles and halfbloods, simply because they were born into something out of their control. After all, she had to admit that there were some born of muggle blood that were simply brilliant and more brighter than she was in certain subjects (not that she'd ever admit it, of course). Julianne secretly felt quite relieved that her sister had strongly advised her against the participation of pureblood politics and not to engage in them as she had. Juls' odd beliefs very often made herself question if she was really a 'good' person, a 'good' daughter. Pureblood women of her stature shouldn't question such ideals that had been embedded into their blood.

Julianne earned her prefect status starting her fifth year with dear friend Regulus Black, and continuing until her seventh year. This only further boosted her reputation, making both her mother and, surprisingly, her father proud. Sure Georgina was best suited for the throne of being the top heiress, but Julianne worked to be the Most Likely To Be Married To A Rich And Powerful Pureblood, deciding to honor her family through other means. After all, the whole Socialite thing came quite easy to her. She was born and raised for it, the perfect pedigree daughter.

• RECENT HISTORY
The day her outstanding NEWT scores arrived as a sad day for Julianne, the marking of her final parchment that she would receive from Hogwarts. While most students look forward to graduation, Julianne secretly despised it. She would finally be in the real world where problems such as turning in a late assignment and another boring night of prefect rounds were exchanged for courting and being asked questions about her opinions and her stand in this war, something that was often spoken about amongst young adults and the older crowd during any social event.

The moment she came to a realization that her sister took upon the Death Mark, Julianne threw a fit, something that she had never done before. She was upset at Georgie for taking it a step too far, that she would endanger herself and risk such hurt for the whole family, despite her twisted mindset that she was protecting her family, honouring them. But most of all, Julianne was enraged at her father for instilling such thoughts into her older sister, for not discouraging her like Georgie had once discouraged her. Since then, her relationship with Georgina had become slightly strained. It wasn't until several months later that Juls came to the conclusion that no matter how upset she was, it wouldn't change things. The best thing she could do was smile and support her to the best of her ability, just like so many socialite wives had done.

It was with great anguish that Julianne had to watch her sister get buried on the fateful night that she died. Both rage and deep sorrow overwhelmed the, now, eldest daughter. She blamed the Order, her father, the Dark Lord, herself.. The murder of Georgina was something the permanently scarred optimistic Juls, it was her first meeting with Death.. and something told her that it wouldn't be her last.

Georgie..

{PRIVATE TO JACQUELINE}

I hate everyone and everything. I hate the bloody Order, I hate our wretched father. I hate Georgie for not listening and thinking that she was invincible. I hate the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord. I do Jacquie, I really do. She didn't die for a noble cause, she just.. died.

She's dead and she's never going to come back. She left us and our family and.. and..

I'm falling apart Jacquie. How are we going to live without her? How is that even fair?

{PRIVATE TO SELF}

She had her whole life ahead of her.. She was the one that was leading this family, and now she's gone. Where does that leave all of us?

Georgie.. please wake me up from this nightmare. You can laugh at me all you want, me and my silly dream. Tell me that you're not really gone..

3. RP sample. You may either link to a past thread/log (same character) or write a sample third person RP sample here.

Precisely two nights after Georgina's death, Julianne didn't understand how it was even biologically possible to cry so much and for tears to continue to stream down her cheeks. How was it possible that she looked worse than she did yesterday? When exactly did this whole 'time heals all wounds' proverb kick in? Was two days too short? In two years, would Juli still be crying? Hurting?

The frail girl looked even more fragile. Her body language screamed out "Fragile! Handle With Care" all over it. Nearly a week later, Julianne, still crying and still looking worse before the night before, laid in her eldest sister's bed. There was a distinct light flowery Georgie smell that always seemed to be on her things and right now, Julianne was still holding onto dear life to anything and everything that fooled her that the Wilkes Heir was still alive.

She had buried herself under her blankets, her eyes shut tight as an occasional tear drop fell. Her mother had stopped bothering to convince her little Juls to return home as she was sick at being yelled at. She had lost a daughter and she didn't want to lose another one, was it really that ridiculous of a request to ask for her to sleep in her own bed? But Julianne wouldn't budge. Accepting and moving on meant that Georgie was really gone. What others didn't realize was that Georgie was very much alive to Juli, when she dreamt, Georgie was there. Georgie was at her flat. She lived in her pictures and her clothes, back at home and at Scrollduggery in Knockturn Alley.

Julianne tossed onto her side as she peeked outside her blanket, looking outside the window at a dying moon. She looked at the ugly rock floating in space with envy. The moon would eventually be reborn, shining brightly and guiding those who traveled the night, perhaps even cloaking them in the darkness, if necessary. Juli felt an odd and different feeling: bitterness. Bitter that Georgie couldn't have the second chance, that she didn't have the ability to shine like she always did; bitter that her life had been taken so abruptly, and bitter that a sister would never be able to see her role model ever again.
